Common Musk Turtle
About Common Musk Turtle
The Common Musk Turtle (Sternotherus odoratus) is not a crossbreed, but a native turtle species. With an oval shell, this turtle walks on the bottom of a pond or river, not swimming like other types of turtles. In addition, one of its unique characteristics is that it can spray liquid with a very pungent foul odor.
